Buckaringa Better Buy Market is situated at Quorn, in South Australia's beautiful Flinders Ranges and home of the world famous Pichi Richi Railway steam trains. We have been one of the secrets of this area, but that is about to change. We provide a much needed shopping facility, Internet cafe, Cyber cafe, Thai takeaway meals and food outlet for the surrounding area servicing the local Quorn, Hawker and Carrieton householders, weekend visitors, International backpackers and Outback travelling tourists.

Our shop is situated in the heart of Historic Quorn township which is often referred to as the Capitol of South Australia's Flinders Ranges. We are in one of the early 1900's style sandstone buildings that Quorn is famous for, and which make up so much of the history of this area. The building has recently been restored and boasts a very unusual central skylight along with pressed tin patterned ceiling. These features alone make it worth while to pay us a visit when you are in Quorn to learn some of the secrets of the Flinders Ranges.

What we do.

Open from 9.00am until 6.00pm all year round. We can supply many of the things a tourist, backpacker or outback traveller will need when visiting the Flinders Ranges and Outback South Australia. These include Thai takeaway food, secret Internet Cafe, emergency tin food supplies, drinks, ice-creams, confectionery, camping supplies, camera film, hardware, sunglasses, toys, birthday cards, stationary and variety. Another of our secrets, dining under the stars, on one of our superb take-away meals, in the Outback of South Australia, has never before been so enjoyable.

We are also the local supplier of Leader built computers and can provide upgrades, service and repairs on site. Computer access for word processing, scanning of photos, web page design, CAD drawing, photocopying, laminating and sending faxes are all part of our total service.

Buckaringa Better Buy Market is owned and operated by Buckaringa Holdings Pty Ltd.

Buckaringa Holdings Pty Ltd is a small family owned company which has had experience in the retail market of Quorn since 1977. Service over extended hours and on public holidays has always been our aim.

We have in the past operated the local Quorn Supermarket and Deli known far and wide as the Buckaringa Supa Deli on a seven day a week, 12 hour a day basis. Many will remember us for our famous homemade pies and pasties cooked on the premises.

Sensible use of technology has always been a high priority of this company and to this end we were the first store in Australia to install DTS scanning and cash registers. These were linked to a computer with total stock control and ordering being used at a time when others still dreamed of it being available.

At present Buckaringa Better Buy Market is run by myself, Wayne and my wife, Jarat who originally comes from Thailand. Our two young children Annabelle and Belinda are very keen to try and help at times.
